THE TENTH BAKU INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS

Congress objective

The 10th Baku International Congress will assemble local and foreign scientists, representatives of oil companies, related ministries and NGO’s to discuss global energy and environmental problems, demonstrate the latest achievements in the field of environmental friendly and energy saving technologies, including renewable energy technologies. The Congress will address the issues related to the Caspian ecology, the impact of oil-gas development on the region’s flora and fauna and people health together with economic, social and legislative aspects. The 10th Congress will be structured around plenary and technical sessions, business meetings, visits, excursions and cultural events.

The main topics of the 10th Congress will be:

1. Energy development and global environmental problems:

• Impact of conventional fuels on natural environment and living resources
• Global warming, climate change, ozone depletion and disasters
• Control of atmosphere air. Greenhouse gases abatement

• Impact of the development of oil-gas fields on the regions’ landscapes, flora and fauna, and people health
• Safety and environmental problems of oil-gas pipelines and engineering-communication systems. Protection of metal constructions against corrosion
• Radiation safety. Protection of population from ionizing radiation
• Water and land resource protection. Recultivation of contaminated soils
• Waste management and utilisation

  PAPER GUIDELINES

  Papers (English and Azeri /Russian versions of the original in Microsoft Words format) should include the abstract, the results of the research and the conclusions and recommendations of the author(s). The paper may contain figures, tables, illustrations and references within the 5-page limitation (Times New Roman 12 pt). Margins: 2.5 cm margins on the left, right, top and bottom. The requested pages size is A4. Spacing: single spacing, double spacing between paragraphs. Please leave two spaces between the title (typed in capitals and centered on the width of the paper) and the names of the author(s). Immediately below the author(s) names and on the separate line, give the names of the state, institute, company and also E-mail. Do not number your pages. The English version of the paper should be sent by e-mail for publishing in the Congress Proceedings.

  Congress registration fee :

• for active delegates is 250 USD including proceedings, attending sections, banquet and all measures provided by social programme (excluding expenses for accommodation)
• for accompanying person 120 USD including banquet and all measures provided by the social programme (excluding proceedings and accommodation expenses)


The registration fee should be paid in US dollars during registration procedures.
