| THE FIRST BAKU INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS “ENERGY, ECOLOGY, ECONOMY” 20-23 AUGUST 1991 BAKU, AZERBAIJAN REPUBLIC The First Baku International Symposium “Energy, Ecology, Economy” was held on 20-23 August, 1991. It was the first in the series of scientific forums addressed the problems of energy generation and conservation, renewable energy resource use, environment protection and economy of natural resources . Leading scientists and specialists of different schools from USA, Canada, Austria, Russia, Portugal, Greece, Iran , Turkey and other countries were participated in the Symposium. The present Symposium is the first in the series of traditional forums related to the problems of alternative energy source utilization, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, indoor climate, radon issues and a range of other questions being investigation objects of “Gunesh” Association, Radiation Research Sector of Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences and Clean Energy Research Institute of the USA. During the Symposium we will have an opportunity to get acquainted with researches, developments and ideas of leading scientists and experts from different regions all over the world. I hope that International Symposium will contribute to scientific business and creative co-operation between the specialists being engaged in various branches of science and technology. The Symposium has noble aims for creation of normal live conditions and sound environment in the name of future generations. Altogether during the Symposium we will have a good opportunity to discuss the latest results of our investigations, to develop joint programs for further activities and to establish personal and business relations.
