Salayev, at the Opening Ceremony of the Second Baku International Symposium Dear participants, First of all, I would like to welcome you to the Second International Symposium on Energy, Ecology, Economy. I hope it will be a worthwhile and successful event. The International Symposia on the themes of energy, ecology, economy organised by “GUNESH” Scientific Manufacturing Association have proved to be notable examples of co-operation between scientific experts, government officials, business representatives and others and have promoted a better understanding of the pressing economic and ecological issues which confront mankind today. It will be through an understanding of the close interrelationship between energy, ecology, economy that we shall be able to develop a more rational utilisation of our energy resources and avoid the ecological disaster that threatens our planet. I very much hope that this Symposium will help establish the vital multi-disciplinary approach to the global issues of energy and ecology we now face and that the results of our work here will mark a step forward to their solution. |
