The 8th Baku Congress is held under UNESCO auspices
Congress objective
The 8th Baku International Congress will assemble local and foreign scientists, representatives of oil companies, related ministries and NGO’s to discuss global energy and environmental problems, demonstrate the latest achievements in the field of environmental friendly and energy saving technologies, including renewable energy technologies. The Congress will address the issues related to the Caspian ecology, impact of oil-gas pipelines on the region’s flora and fauna and people health together with economic, social and legislative aspects. The 8th Congress will be structured around plenary and technical sessions, business meetings, visits and excursions. In addition, the Congress will organise an exhibition to demonstrate state-of-the-art equipment.

Azeri, English and Russian will be the official languages of the Congress.
PAPER GUIDELINES
Papers (English and Azeri /Russian versions of the original and two copies) should include the abstract, the results of the research and the conclusions and recommendations of the author(s). The paper may contain figures, tables, illustrations and references within the 5-page limitation (Times New Roman 12 pt). Margins: 2,5 cm margins on the left, right, top and bottom. The requested pages size is A4. Spacing: single spacing, double spacing between paragraphs. Please leave two spaces between the title (typed in capitals and centered on the width of the paper) and the names of the author(s). Immediately below the author(s) names and on the separate line, give the names of the state, institute, company etc. Do not number your pages. Two copies of the paper should be signed by the author(s) and the original should be sent unsigned. Paper must be presented in a form suitable for camera ready reproduction.
The deadline for receipt of papers is March 31 , 2005.
